ŁUSZCZKIEWICZ-JASTRZĘBSKA (born 1929) studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1951 to 1954, graduating in the studio of Professor Tadeusz Kulisiewicz (1954).
Initially, she worked primarily with metal techniques, particularly dry engraving, in which she achieved considerable mastery. In the 1950s and 1960s, she developed her style. In her abstract works, she used delicate lines and stains, creating somewhat landscape-like compositions that also included more realistic depictions, such as human figures. In later years, dry engraving began to give way to drawing, and color also appeared in her works, along with more realistic representations. ŁUSZCZKIEWICZ-JASTRZĘBSKA has held numerous solo exhibitions in Poland (the last one in May 2025) and abroad, and her works have been reproduced in important albums devoted to Polish graphic art. The work of a doyenne of Polish graphic art.
