KOMENTARZ
A text outlining the main characteristics of the phonology and morphology of the Cabali dialect of Syrian Arabic. Covers the consonants along with the syllable structure and vocalism in the phonology section. Describes such forms as pronouns (personal, demonstrative, interrogative, indefinite); verbs (strong verbs, participles, imperatives); prepositions; and conjunctions in the morphology section. Compares the Cabali dialect with Syrian and Lebanese Arabic. Illustrates the morphology and phonology points with twenty pages of texts, collected by the author and presented in a side-by-side fashion, with a romanized transcript on the left hand page, and the English translation on the right hand page. Includes an introduction by the author, followed by a short bibliography of works consulted.
